About the Role

Your Mission

• Develop and enhance NALA's mobile application for seamless cross-border money transfers as part of the wider Consumer team.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain NALA's mobile application using the Flutter framework.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define and implement new features.
• Optimize app performance and ensure a smooth user experience.
• Debug and fix issues to improve application stability.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in mobile development.
• Contribute to code reviews and uphold high coding standards.
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and provide innovative solutions.
• Take ownership of the app architecture.

Must Have Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience developing using the Flutter framework.
• Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Provider, Riverpod, Bloc/Cubit, MobX).
• Familiarity with clean architecture and design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC, or Redux-like architectures).
• Understanding of separation of concerns and proper use of design patterns (e.g., Factory, Singleton, Repository, Observer).
• Experience with dependency injection.
• Proficiency in testing in Flutter (unit, widget, integration tests).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment.

Nice to Have Requirements

• Flutter integration with Native Code (Method Channels, Platform Views).
• Experience with multi-package projects.
• Experience with GRPC and integration with mobile applications.
• Experience in native mobile application development for iOS or Android.
• Experience in Fintech.
• Experience working in a distributed or fully remote environment.

Interview Process

If successful, the interview process will include four stages:

1. 30 mins: Interview with the Talent Team to understand your motivations and experiences.
2. 1 hour: Coding Challenge involving a pair programming exercise with two engineers.
3. 1 hour: Architecture Interview to solve an architecture challenge with two Engineering Managers.
4. 30 mins: Final interview with the CTO or Hiring Manager to discuss your motivation for the role.
