Summary for the role:
A Hardware Design Engineer bridging high-performance digital computing platforms with high-current power electronics. The role involves designing and integrating SoCs, SOMs and FPGAs for high-speed digital systems, ensuring robust signal integrity for multi-GHz interfaces such as LPDDR5, HDMI and MIPI-CSI through advanced multi-layer PCB design, stack-up planning. Develops high-power hardware required for drones, UAV's like power distribution networks, Electronic Speed, Controllers, gate-driver circuits and thermal management solutions capable of handling large current loads while meeting stringent EMI/EMC requirements.
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and qualified PCB design engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the complete Hardware design and development lifecycle. It will involve overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of PCB projects from initiation to completion. You should also be able to design, develop, and manage in-house PCB projects and
manage outsourced projects and ensure that they meet the quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Working on defining the board architecture, component selection, and schematic capture.
• Reviewing design guidelines to create PCB layouts.
• Working with vendors for fabrication and assembly to establish and follow PCB design rules for DFM and DFA
• Working with engineering personnel to establish design parameters and ensure electronic designs comply with design validation and product specifications.
• Working on writing and debugging firmware
• Completing the delivery of the functional board after testing
• Working on understanding key hardware requirements from product requirements.
• Participating in analysis and suggesting cost-reduction project ideas
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field
• At least 4 - 6 years of experience in managing PCB projects or similar electrical electronics projects.
• Experience of PCB design software, such as Altium, Eagle, or KiCAD
• Experience of electrical engineering principles, standards, and codes
• Experience in firmware development.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
