Are you a highly skilled data engineer with a passion for building robust, cloud-based data solutions? We are seeking a talented professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in a major data modernisation initiative within the financial sector. This is a chance to apply your expertise in Azure to create high-impact solutions that will shape our future.

What You'll Be Doing:

Architect & Build: Lead the design and construction of resilient and scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
Automate Everything: Implement end-to-end automation for our data solutions, including CI/CD pipelines managed through Azure DevOps.
Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with data analysts, architects, and key business stakeholders to deliver modern, reliable data platforms.
Ensure Quality: Take ownership of data integrity, performance, and security across all data integration processes.
Drive Strategy: Contribute to our overall cloud data architecture and integration strategy, providing valuable technical leadership.

Your Expertise:

Proven experience as a data engineer with a strong focus on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Deep practical knowledge of Azure Data Factory and a solid track record with Azure DevOps.
Exceptional SQL proficiency and extensive experience with ETL/ELT principles.
Familiarity with related Azure services such as Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
A solid understanding of modern data engineering methodologies and best practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Nice to Have:

Previous work experience in the finance industry or other highly-regulated sectors.
Familiarity with data governance and security principles.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within Azure.
Exposure to business intelligence tools like Power BI.
Experience with legacy BI tools.
