Overview of the role
The Condition Monitoring Team Lead will lead the Condition Monitoring team and has full accountability and ownership of the condition-based monitoring program for Nanoprecise in their region. This position is responsible for developing and
leading the condition-based monitoring activities that will have a direct impact on Nanoprecise customer equipment uptime, efficiency, cost management, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, innovation, and ultimately profitability in their region. They also need to collaborate with the Leads in other region for alignment.
The Condition Monitoring Team Lead will lead a team of CMs who will work to enhance our condition-based monitoring capabilities to deliver improved equipment reliability, decrease unscheduled repair and maintenance time, and develop strategies to drive lower maintenance costs via the Nanoprecise solution. In short, drive the maintenance teams to perform the right maintenance at the right time based on real time data and with minimal downtime impact to operations via notifications from Nanoprecise.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team of CMs that encompasses a broad scope ranging from onboarding /training, product development consultation, site technical assistance, and high-level SOPs/documentation
• Hire, onboard, train, and monitor the team’s progress with coaching and mentoring as a primary focus of the role
• Track progress of customers’ installations and adjust assignment and analysis according to risk and priority
• Aid team in conducting data mining, review, and analyses
• Document practices and processes to contribute towards robust onboarding /training for improved ramp of CMs over time
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of current CM practices and processes
• Work with CSMs to communicate maintenance benchmarking standards for customer maintenance programs in order to drive improvements among industry verticals
• Collaborate on technical papers and business requirements based on hardware testing and product developments
• Set standards for customer facing documentation and reporting via peer review process and manager reviews
• Oversee and approve documents generated by the team
• Organize, validate, summarize and present data in internal quarterly business reviews and operational planning documents
• Work across multiple business units to help identify root cause and actions software issues, and help QA updates
• Create a working environment where efficiencies generated and executed by the CM team are celebrated and rewarded
• Administer annual reviews as directed by Nanoprecise HR in a timely manner
• Travel up to 20% in region as needed with 7 days notice to support customers or sales team
Measures/ KRA’s:
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing, steel, oil & gas, and heavy industrial environments.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret sensor data and generate actionable insights for maintenance planning.
• Communication Skills: Proficient in presenting complex data to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Technical Expertise: Skilled in vibration diagnostics, spectral analysis, and signal processing.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with platforms such as Emerson CSI, SKF, Pruftechnik, or similar tools.
Education Qualification, Experience & Skills:
BE/B.Tech,M.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10+years of experience in condition monitoring or predictive maintenance roles.
Certification as Level II/III Vibration Analyst (ISO 18436-2) is mandatory.
