Key Responsibilities

• Process, integrate, and interpret omics datasets (transcriptomics, single-cell, spatial, proteomics, metabolomics, epigenomics) to derive biological insights.
• Develop and apply computational methods and pipelines for model characterization and mechanism-of-action studies.
• Use functional interpretation approaches (pathway enrichment, causal reasoning, module detection) to translate data into biological hypotheses.
• Work collaboratively with discovery scientists to refine target selection and understand mechanism relevance to disease biology.
• Communicate analytical findings through clear visualizations, summaries, and presentations to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure reproducibility, version control, and documentation of analyses following best practices.

Essential Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in bioinformatics applied to preclinical or discovery-stage R&D in a business context.
• Proven expertise in omics data analysis and biological interpretation.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python, with experience in HPC or cloud computing environments.
• Strong grounding in statistics, data integration, and visualization.
• Excellent stakeholder management & communication skills to bridge computational and experimental disciplines.
• Fluent in English.

Desirable Qualifications

• Familiarity with target discovery and preclinical model systems (in vitro, in vivo, or patient-derived).
• Experience with multi-omics integration, network analysis, or causal inference.
• Understanding of immunology, neuroscience, or related therapeutic areas.
• Knowledge of Git-based workflows and reproducible analysis pipelines (Docker/Snakemake/Nextflow).
