What You’ll Do

• Own backend features end-to-end: scope → design → implement → test → ship → observe
• Build production-grade web services and APIs (primarily in PHP with Symfony)
• Write efficient SQL (MySQL) and use Doctrine ORM effectively; tune queries and indexes
• Improve reliability and performance through thoughtful design, profiling, and instrumentation
• Partner with Product and Design to turn requirements into simple, lovable solutions
• Raise the bar on engineering standards, tooling, observability, and developer experience
• Mentor peers (and be open to being mentored); give and receive clear, actionable feedback

How we work with AI Coding tools (and how you will too)

• Use AI Coding tools to draft tests, migrations, scaffolds, refactors, and documentation—then review with rigor
• Design prompts, tools/functions, and lightweight evaluation harnesses to keep quality high
• Generate test data and edge-case scenarios; speed up root-cause analyses with structured queries
• Build small internal automations (e.g., changelog helpers, lint/PR assistants) that save hours
• Apply judgment: treat AI Coding tools output like a junior engineer’s PR—useful, but you own the result
• Follow our data-safety guidelines when working with customer or production context

You’ll be great at this job if you

• Have 5+ years of backend experience shipping and operating production systems
• Communicate clearly—short, sharp PRs; well-scoped tickets; concise design notes
• Bring product curiosity: you ask “why,” talk to stakeholders, and iterate toward impact
• Have strong experience with PHP (Symfony), MySQL, Doctrine, RESTful APIs
• Know core software design principles and patterns; write maintainable, testable code
• Are comfortable debugging across the stack and making pragmatic, data-informed trade-offs
• Are excited to work with AI Coding tools daily and continuously improve how the team leverages them

Nice to have (optional)

• Caching/queues and async processing experience
• Observability (metrics, tracing, logging) and performance tuning
• Security and data-privacy awareness in SaaS environments
• Experience with logistics
