The Role: Senior Backend Engineer
This is a high-impact, deeply technical individual contributor role where you’ll be designing and building the intelligent backend systems that power Catio’s AI-first platform for cloud-native architecture planning. You’ll be working at the intersection of distributed systems, data pipelines, and ML infrastructure to power our agentic AI recommendations and architecture insight workflows.
This is not your average backend role—it demands systems thinking, architectural curiosity, and a passion for enabling deep visibility and expert automation for modern tech stacks. You’ll help bring to life our vision of becoming the go-to Copilot for tech stack architecture, by contributing to the intelligence layer that understands infrastructure, models system behaviors, and suggests improvements that drive engineering and business ROI.

What You’ll Do:
- Build scalable backend systems
powering our observability, architecture modeling, and recommendation engines—leveraging data pipelines, microservices, and system modeling techniques.
What You Bring:
- 4+ years of experience in backend engineering at top-tier startups or technology companies, although we are not opposed to less experienced candidates with outstanding expertise.
- Proven track record of building scalable, production-grade systems, ideally in 0→1 product environments.
- Expertise in modern backend languages and frameworks (Go, Python preferred), with a passion for clean, idiomatic, maintainable code.
