We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to lead the design, automation, and optimisation of our client’s enterprise Azure platform; 482 Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate. You will be the technical authority for Azure Landing Zones, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and secure cloud connectivity. This role requires a specialist who can navigate complex hybrid-cloud environments while mentoring junior engineers in modern DevOps practices.

📋 Core Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture: Design and implement enterprise-grade Azure Landing Zones (ESLZ) ensuring scalability, security, and governance.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the automation of all cloud resources using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates .
• Governance & Security: Implement and manage Azure Policy , RBAC, and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) to meet Australian security standards (Essential Eight/IRAP).
• FinOps Leadership: Analyse cloud consumption and implement cost-saving strategies (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and automated rightsizing).
• Connectivity & Networking: Architect complex hub-and-spoke networking, including ExpressRoute , Azure Firewall, and Virtual WAN.
• CI/CD & Automation: Build and optimise automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

• Experience: 7+ years in Infrastructure, with at least 4 years focused on Azure Cloud Engineering .
