If you are a driven AWS Cloud Platform Engineer with a passion for security, real-time operations, and cloud automation, we encourage you to apply!
Advanced AWS Architecture & Implementation:
Design, deploy, and manage complex, highly available, and fault-tolerant AWS architectures, with a focus on real-time data ingestion and processing, utilising services like
Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, MSK (Managed Streaming for Kafka), and Fargate/EKS.
Cloud Security Mastery:
Lead the implementation of robust security controls and best practices across our AWS accounts. This includes deep expertise in
AWS IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, WAF, GuardDuty, Macie, Security Hub, and CloudFormation Guard/Open Policy Agent (OPA)
for policy-as-code.
Real-time Operations & Observability:
Establish and mature our real-time monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for critical applications and infrastructure. Implement advanced observability using
CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, X-Ray, and custom dashboards/alerts
to ensure proactive incident detection and resolution for high-throughput systems.
Platform Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC):
Drive the adoption and maturity of IaC using
Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
, ensuring consistent, repeatable, and auditable infrastructure deployments. Develop advanced automation scripts (Python, Bash) for operational efficiency and self-healing systems.
DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines:
Design, build, and optimise CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) for deploying cloud infrastructure and applications securely and efficiently. Champion GitOps principles for infrastructure management.
Cost Optimisation & Governance:
Proactively identify and implement strategies for AWS cost optimisation without compromising performance or security. Contribute to defining and enforcing cloud governance policies.
Troubleshooting & Incident Response:
Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex AWS infrastructure issues, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to post-incident reviews to enhance system resilience.
Proven experience (5+ years) as an AWS Cloud Engineer or Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on security and operational excellence.
Mandatory deep expertise in AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda) AND significant hands-on experience with advanced services crucial for real-time and security (e.g., Kinesis, MSK, DynamoDB, Fargate/EKS, AWS IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub).
Demonstrable experience implementing robust cloud security controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001) within AWS.
Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using
Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
.
Expertise in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation.
Solid understanding and practical application of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps methodologies.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect) and their secure implementation in AWS.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
