Job Summary:
Lionsgate is one of the world’s leading standalone content companies, and they are seeking a Data Application Lead to oversee a team of developers and engineers in designing and maintaining data-driven applications. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and scalability of internal data solutions while collaborating with various stakeholders to align projects with strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of internal data solutions.
• Manage a team of data application developers, including performance reviews, mentoring, and career development.
• Oversee the application lifecycle, including architecture, security, patching, and certificate management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to ensure high availability and compliance with IT standards.
• Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.
• Maintain and evolve the application server inventory and patching schedule.
• Support the replatforming of legacy tools and consolidation of vendor solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in software/application development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical background in backend development and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud/data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, Tableau, Airflow, SSIS, AWS) and integration patterns.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects on time.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
• Experience in media, entertainment, or content-driven industries.
• Exposure to low-code platforms and data visualization tools.
• Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
• Ability to create basic planning and architectural deliverables (eg, work plans, diagrams)
