About the role
We are seeking an exceptional Senior AI/ML Engineer with deep expertise in computer vision and forensic AI systems to provide technical leadership and guidance for development of cutting-edge detection and analysis projects. This role will involve architecting robust deep learning solutions, mentoring our AI/ML team, and driving innovation in specialized computer vision applications.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Design and architect end-to-end deep learning pipelines for production-grade computer vision systems
- Provide expert guidance on multi-modal AI architectures integrating image, video, and audio analysis
- Lead technical decision-making on model selection, training strategies, and optimization techniques
- Evaluate and recommend state-of-the-art approaches for complex detection and classification problems
- Design scalable systems for continuous model improvement and deployment
Model Development & Research
- Guide development of custom neural network architectures for specialized detection tasks
- Advise on advanced techniques including attention mechanisms, multi-stream fusion, and transfer learning
- Troubleshoot complex training challenges including loss function design, convergence issues, and overfitting
- Drive experimentation with novel architectures combining CNNs, transformers, and hybrid models
Production Systems & Deployment
- Guide deployment strategies for real-time inference systems with strict latency requirements
- Optimize models for production environments including quantization, pruning, and efficient architectures
- Design robust evaluation frameworks with appropriate metrics for specialized detection tasks
- Implement monitoring and continuous improvement strategies for production models
Required Qualification:
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Computer Vision, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision and deep learning
- Proven track record of shipping production ML systems at scale
- Strong publication record or demonstrable contributions to advanced ML projects
Technical Expertise
- Expert-level proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow with deep understanding of framework internals
- Extensive experience with modern deep learning architectures (CNNs, Vision Transformers, hybrid models)
- Strong knowledge of advanced training techniques and optimization strategies
- Hands-on experience with multi-modal learning and feature fusion approaches
- Experience with metric learning and advanced classification techniques
- Strong understanding of data augmentation and regularization strategies
Core Skills
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with clean code practices
- Experience with large-scale dataset handling and distributed training
- Ability to read and implement research papers quickly
- Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills
- Knowledge of model serving frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, TorchServe, etc.)
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployment
MLOps & Infrastructure
- Experience with MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar experiment tracking tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for ML (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and orchestration for ML workloads
- Experience with GPU optimization and efficient inference techniques
Specialized Experience
- Experience with forensic AI, anomaly detection, or authenticity verification systems
- Knowledge of signal processing for audio/visual analysis
- Background in image quality assessment or artifact detection
- Understanding of adversarial robustness and model security
- Experience with few-shot learning or open-set recognition
- Familiarity with multi-task learning and auxiliary loss design
