About the Role
Our client is a small plastic bottle manufacturer, seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Accountant / Full-Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations and oversee core financial processes. This role is being hired as a replacement for a retiring CPA and will serve as the primary accounting resource in a small, tight-knit manufacturing business of approximately 10 employees. This position is ideal for a mature, steady professional who is looking for a long-term opportunity and enjoys owning the accounting function end-to-end in a small-company environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger maintenance and monthly close support
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping functions: AP, AR, invoicing, vendor management, and bank/credit card reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Maintain organized financial records and support internal controls / documentation
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
- Support cash flow tracking and operational reporting as needed
- Coordinate with external partners (CPA/tax preparer, banking partners, etc.) as needed
- Ensure accounting processes remain accurate, compliant, and efficient
Desired Background / Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping with strong full-charge capabilities
- Comfortable operating independently and being the βgo-toβ accounting professional
- Experience in manufacturing or a product-based business strongly preferred
- Familiarity with payroll processing and staff accounting tasks
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and long-term mindset
- Professional maturity, strong communication, and ability to work on-site consistently
