We are currently hiring a

Qualified Chartered Accountant
to join our finance team at Prescience. This role will support day‑to‑day finance operations, including accounting, payroll, statutory compliance, and reporting. The incumbent will work closely with senior leadership, HR, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial records, smooth payroll processing, and strong regulatory compliance as the organization scales.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Handle day‑to‑day accounting activities including bookkeeping, journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and monthly book closures
- Independently maintain books of accounts in Tally / ERP systems
- Ensure accurate recording of routine financial transactions in accounting systems
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Prepare monthly MIS, P&L statements, and basic cash flow reports for internal review
- Support MIS reporting and internal financial summaries for management
- Manage bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense accounting
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards
Statutory Compliance & Audit Support
- Assist in GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances
- Support preparation and filing of periodic statutory returns
- Maintain compliance documentation and statutory records
- Provide audit support during statutory, tax, and internal audits
- Assist with Companies Act compliances, ROC filings, and related documentation
Finance Operations
- Support vendor invoice verification, accounting entries, and payment coordination
- Assist in tracking expenses, operational costs, and basic cash flow movement
- Help maintain finance SOPs, internal control documentation, and audit trails
- Ensure proper record‑keeping and documentation discipline
Payroll & Employee

Related Finance
- Support payroll verification, payroll accounting entries, and reimbursement reviews in coordination with HR
- Support end-to-end payroll processing and payroll reconciliation
- Assist in reconciling employee payouts, reimbursements, and benefit‑related accounts
- Exposure to payroll systems or HRMS is an added advantage but not mandatory
Cross
‑
Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with HR, operations, and internal teams for finance and compliance matters
- Support leadership requests related to financial data and reporting
- Assist during due diligence, reviews, or reporting exercises, as required
Required Qualifications & Skills
- CA Intermediate cleared with completed articleship (mandatory)
- 2–3 years of relevant practical exposure during or post articleship
- Strong understanding of accounting, statutory compliances, and taxation basics
- Hands‑on exposure to GST, TDS, and compliance documentation
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / ERP systems) and MS Excel
- High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and learning orientation
- Ability to independently manage routine finance and accounting operations
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving organizational environment
Good to Have
- Experience in a startup, tech, R&D, or services organization
- Exposure to payroll systems, expense management tools, or HRMS platforms
- Interest in process improvement, controls, and finance automation
