Key Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and schedule all security guards.
• Oversee signing of reports, logs, and other records as required by Corporate Security leadership.
• Administer security systems including service calls, equipment tracking, and staff training.
• Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate coverage requests and special event security arrangements.
• Conduct regular reviews of on-site post orders and update as needed.
• Lead training for all new security staff and facilitate ongoing training for all team members.
• Maintain incident logs, ensuring accurate and complete records.
• Respond to and manage incidents in coordination with Corporate Security, emergency services, and law enforcement when necessary.
• De-escalate crises and provide support to staff and the public.
• Serve as liaison with City departments and the community.
• Identify and report unsafe working conditions.
• Provide first aid and medical assistance as required.
• Deliver excellent customer service to community members

Requirements Must Have Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Successfully completed Supervisor Training
• Authorized to work in Canada
• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Minimum 1 year security experience
• Post-secondary education in a Security or Policing related field
• Minimum 2 years Security Supervisor experience

Nice to Have (Assets)

• Completed Security or Police Foundations training
• Ability to meet physical demands: excessive walking, standing, exposure to all weather conditions
• 1+ year Security Guard experience in a municipal government or corporate setting
