About The Role
Are you a skilled hacker who loves building and breaking stuff? Do you like to do research and disclose CVEs in software? Ethiack is seeking a Security Researcher like you! We are a SaaS startup, pioneering in securing digital systems through continuous autonomous ethical hacking.
As a Security Researcher at Ethiack, you'll play an important role in our mission of making the Internet safer by conducting vulnerability research, finding vulnerabilities and new CVEs, and improving the core of our automated hacking. Your efforts will be key to advancing our research and our platform, aligning with our goal of setting new standards in offensive security.
Responsibilities
- Conduct world-class research involving the discovery of 0-day vulnerabilities, reverse engineering N-day patches, and the development of novel exploitation vectors, with the objective of disseminating findings through highly technical blog posts and presentations at security conferences.
- Architect and implement fully automated hacking modules and enhance our proprietary framework for autonomous ethical hacking.
- Perform assessments and triage of identified vulnerabilities to ensure accuracy, validity, and impact.
- Contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI to drive innovation in autonomous pentesting.
Requirements
- A robust knowledge of Computer Science principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, coupled with the ability to rapidly adapt to diverse programming paradigms (including functional and object-oriented architectures).
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.
- Deep understanding of penetration testing and vulnerability research methodologies, particularly targeting web-based exploitation.
- A proven track record of participation in top-tier Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions or mature Bug Bounty programs.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the resilience and autonomy required to work within a highly paced startup environment.
- Fluency in English (proficiency in additional languages, particularly Portuguese, is considered a significant asset).
