Overview

Commissionaires South Saskatchewan is seeking Security Guards (Commissionaires) to support public safety and security operations across Regina. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start or grow a career in security, with hands-on training and exposure to regulated environments such as government facilities, healthcare, and commercial sites.

Commissionaires are trained professionals responsible for maintaining safety, enforcing procedures, and supporting the public in a wide range of environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols (foot or vehicle) to ensure safety and security
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control points
• Enforce site-specific policies and procedures
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches
• Prepare detailed reports, including incident and daily activity logs
• Provide assistance to staff, clients, and the public
• Coordinate with emergency services when required

Requirements

• Must live in Regina, Saskatchewan, or be able to reliably commute
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
• Must possess a valid Security Guard License (Canada or Saskatchewan-specific)
• Must have valid First Aid certification
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Must be available to work weekends and statutory holidays
• Must have basic computer skills (email, MS Word, etc.)
• Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong teamwork

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in security or related roles
• Experience in customer service, public-facing, or enforcement roles
• Ability to speak multiple languages
• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, government, retail loss prevention, etc.)
• Interest in long-term career growth in security or public safety
