to join the GTECH Sample Management and Processing team supporting innovative Development and Discovery R&D initiatives within a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.

Position Overview
The Scientist I will support sample management and robust molecular sample processing workflows that drive high-quality genomic and molecular profiling efforts. This role is part of the Sample Management and Processing group and focuses on biobanking activities, nucleic acid extraction, quality control analysis, and data documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess hands-on wet lab experience, strong technical precision, and a foundational understanding of biology, molecular genetics, and genomics.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex wet lab sample processing activities in compliance with organizational SOPs and laboratory safety standards
- Execute nucleic acid extraction workflows from source materials including tissues, blood, cells, and biofluids
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or related field with
2+ years of relevant experience
- OR
- MS degree in Genetics/Genomics or related field with
1+ years of relevant experience
Required Technical Skills:
- Experience performing nucleic acid extraction workflows from biological source materials
- Experience with nucleic acid QC techniques and data interpretation
- Strong micropipetting and laboratory technique skills
- Ability to strictly follow SOPs, documentation practices, and laboratory guidelines
- Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LIMS/sample tracking systems
- Experience with automated laboratory workflows and instrumentation
- Experience working in CLIA-certified or regulated laboratory environments
- Scientific or clinical documentation/writing experience
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new methodologies and contribute to process improvements
