The Role
Lumea is seeking a Sales Director to drive new revenue growth through complex, consultative sales engagements with pathology labs, hospital systems, and specialty laboratory groups. This is a senior-level individual contributor role responsible for owning the full sales cycle and engaging directly with executive-level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, including the development and execution of strategic account and territory plans.
Lead consultative discovery conversations with C-suite and senior clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders.
Build and manage a healthy pipeline of net-new opportunities while accurately forecasting revenue.
Collaborate closely with the CRO and cross-functional partners across marketing, product, and clinical teams.
Represent Lumea at industry conferences, customer meetings, and industry events. Provide market and customer insights to inform go-to-market strategy and product direction.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience selling complex, high-value software or hardware solutions. Experience selling into pathology labs, hospital systems, or specialty laboratory environments.
Demonstrated success as an individual contributor owning the full sales cycle.
Comfort navigating long, multi-stakeholder, consultative sales processes.
Ability to engage and sell credibly to C-suite and executive-level buyers.
Willingness to travel up to 40 percent of the time.
Candidates must not be actively consulting for other organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling digital pathology solutions or whole slide imaging technology. Background selling into dermatology or gastroenterology-focused laboratories.
Existing relationships within pathology, dermatology, or gastroenterology networks. Experience working in a high-growth or early-stage company environment.

Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a competitive base salary range of $80,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and location. On-target earnings range from $180,000 to $220,000, based on performance.
