Role Description
Experience: 2 – 3 Years
About the Role
We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in robotics or automation. The candidate should have a solid foundation in robotics systems including software, control, electronics, and basic mechanical understanding.
You will work on developing and deploying real-world industrial robotic solutions, contributing to both software development and system integration.
This is a practical, hands-on role ideal for engineers who enjoy working with real machines, debugging systems, and building automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Robotics Software Development
Develop and maintain robotic applications using C++ and Python
Assist in implementing motion control, basic kinematics, and trajectory logic
Support development of robot interfaces and control software
Build simple operator interfaces using Qt / Qt QML
Robotics System Integration
Work with motors, sensors, encoders, and IO systems
Assist in integration of hardware with software systems
Support communication using protocols like CAN, Modbus, RS485 (basic understanding expected)
Participate in testing and debugging on real robotic systems
Machine Vision Systems
Develop basic vision applications using OpenCV
Work on tasks like object detection and positioning
Assist in integrating cameras with robotic systems
Optimize simple vision tasks for performance
Robotics Fundamentals
Basic understanding of:
Robot kinematics and coordinate systems
Motion control fundamentals
Industrial automation concepts
Hardware & Electronics Awareness
Basic understanding of motors, drivers, sensors, and embedded systems
Ability to use tools like multimeter (preferred) for debugging
Awareness of microcontrollers and control systems
System Testing & Debugging
Debug software issues in robotic systems
Assist in identifying hardware-software interaction problems
Support system testing and validation
Required Skills
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
Basic experience with Qt / Qt QML
Understanding of robotics/automation concepts
Knowledge of OpenCV or similar vision libraries
Familiarity with Linux environment
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Exposure to industrial protocols like EtherCAT
Basic embedded systems knowledge
Experience in robotics/automation projects
Understanding of real-time
Robotics / Mechatronics
Mechanical / Electronics
Computer Science or related fields
