Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Power up, calibrate, and deploy robots for scheduled tasks; oversee mission execution via onsite interfaces on a daily basis.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor system health; relay these issues to the correct engineering team and ensure that these problems are solved.
• Maintenance & Calibration: Perform routine firmware updates, and sensor calibrations to minimize downtime.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Log performance metrics, incident reports, and operational anomalies; communicate insights and suggestions for system improvements.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct pre-operation checks, and maintain compliance with all workplace and regulatory guidelines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with robotics engineers and operations team, to validate fixes, test new features, and contribute to user documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting complex equipment in industrial, field, automotive, logistics, or production environments (robotics experience a plus, not required).
• Trade background strongly preferred (mechanical, electrical, automotive, HVAC, fabrication, heavy equipment, or similar).
• Familiarity with automation or electro-mechanical systems such as PLCs, motor drives, CNCs, industrial sensors, or equipment control interfaces (robot GUIs/ROS a plus).
• Comfort performing structured maintenance and calibration routines using checklists and software tools (training provided for firmware/sensor procedures).
• Comfortable using computers/tablets for operational logging, dashboards, and routine checks; light scripting is a bonus, not required.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and calm decision-making under pressure.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to document issues precisely.
• Collaborative approach; enjoys working side-by-side with engineers to validate fixes and improve systems.
• Able to stand/work on your feet for 8+ hours per day.
• Embraces constructive feedback and strives for continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills

• Genuine excitement about stepping into robotics/automation and helping bring new technology into real-world use.
• Experience supporting fleet-style equipment rollouts or multi-unit deployments — setting up, checking out, and keeping multiple machines running reliably in the field or on a shop floor.
• Track record of commissioning or starting up complex equipment: power-up, calibration/checkout, validating safe operation, and returning systems to service quickly after faults.
• Comfortable working in environments with new/unfamiliar machines, where procedures evolve and you help improve them over time.
• Background in automation-adjacent tools or systems (e.g., PLCs, CNCs, VFDs/motor controls, industrial sensors, telematics, heavy equipment diagnostics).
• Experience documenting repairs/maintenance clearly and sharing practical feedback that improves reliability for the next shift/team.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $35–$45/hour , based on experience and role alignment
