The Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Transfusion Research (MCTR) is an academic research centre, in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University. The Centre’s mission is to improve the health outcomes of blood transfusion recipients and donors by advancing innovative research. The McMaster Platelet Immunology Laboratory (MPIL), the laboratory-based arm of MCTR, is dedicated to advancing patient care in platelet-related disorders by delivering comprehensive diagnostic testing and pioneering translational research into immune‑mediated thrombocytopenia.
We are looking for an experienced research technician to join our dynamic research team.
Job Summary:
The Research Laboratory Technician (III) is responsible for providing research support to faculty members in their research and teaching laboratory activities. This support includes performing standardized and non-standardized laboratory experiments and conducting literature searches for use in publications such as journal articles or papers. This position works in a developing capacity with increased responsibility for performing a range of laboratory assignments under general direction.
