Internships are approximately 3-months (summer) in duration and the roles are performed on-site at our Seattle, WA laboratory under the supervision of PhD scientists. Relocation assistance benefits are not available for this job posting. Interns will participate in all lab meetings and team meetings, as well as Talus Bio social and team-building events. All positions require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and successful candidates will complement our culture and align with our core values. At the end of the internship, interns will present their project to the entire company.

Internship Description: The Drug Discovery team is seeking a summer intern to participate in research and drug discovery in the area of Oncology. The successful candidate will learn and apply cellular/molecular biology to validate targets and hits as well as screen compounds coming from our proteomics platform. The intern in this role will be expected to make intellectual as well as technical contributions to the team.

Target Applicant: Undergraduate or graduate student with 2+ years of lab experience; preferred majors: cell biology, cancer biology, molecular biology or biochemistry

Note: this internship is available only to those with legal authorization to work in the US

Status: Full-time role (40 hours/week); hourly (non-exempt) position

Required Skills and Experience: Biology-related research experience especially in RT-qPCR assays, basic knowledge of molecular and cancer biology or cancer pharmacology-related fields

Assignments: Work with the team to learn and conduct studies using in vitro & cell-based assays, as well as preparing samples for evaluation with our proteomics platform
