Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant (RA) (02 Nos.). We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work in one or more of the following research domains: Artificial Intelligence (Deep and Machine learning), Medical Image Analysis, Mental Health Disorders, Musculoskeletal Disorders, Clinical Neuroscience, Medical Robotics, Clinical Research Methods, Digital Signal Processing, and Virtual/Augmented Reality . The initial appointment (probation) is for one year and will be extended by more than one year solely based on performance. Further, the candidates will get all the research experience to prepare for their higher education if required.
Responsibilities:
· Provide advanced modeling and medical image analytics support to projects in SCMIA.
· Lead the development, testing, and implementation of Deep learning/machine learning models.
· Handle computational and administrative requirements of NVIDIA DGX A100 GPU Server.
· Work in liaison with the team of clinicians, radiologists, technicians, surgeons, and other engineers.
· Develop and maintain test scripts and other documentation and train the new recruits and students.
· Write scientific journal publications and acquire advanced training for new tools.
Essential Qualifications: Minimum qualification is M.Tech/ M.S./M.E./ M.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Data Sciences and AI/ Applied Mathematics degrees. OR Ph.D degree in one of the research domains with a medical imaging focus. Candidates with GATE/NET or UGC/CSIR/ICMR DBT/RGNF/MANF/DST fellows will be given preference.
Experience: Applicants with hands-on experience in some or multiple of the following technical areas will be preferred: 1. Data analytics/modelling with medical imaging domain experience. 2. Data science/ ML and AI experience, including Scikit Learn, Tensorflow and Pytorch libraries. 3. Development of Clinical or neuroscience protocols for various clinical trials. 4. Development of Python codes for real-time execution. 5. Development of connectivity interfaces with data sources. 6. Technical knowledge of Medical Image Analysis and Synthesis operations. Development of Game environment in Unity 3D.
Salary/Emoluments: As per the SIU norms of the Research Assistant position and based on the experience/educational qualification.
