Position Overview

We’re hiring a Research Analyst – AI Economics to deepen our coverage of how AI systems create—and destroy—economic value. This role focuses on synthesizing technical, economic, and industry data into cohesive frameworks that explain where AI investment will generate sustainable returns.

You will contribute directly to SemiAnalysis’s AI Economics and Tokenomics research used by leading investors, corporates, and policymakers worldwide.

This is a full-time role based in the United States.

What You’ll Do

• Research the economic impact of AI model architectures, inference systems, and deployment strategies.
• Build economic frameworks explaining AI cost structures and long-term scalability.
• Analyze AI companies across the stack—from model providers to infrastructure and application layers.
• Translate complex technical developments into clear economic implications.
• Publish high-impact research shaping capital allocation decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Background in ML/AI, CS, economics, or quantitative research.
• Strong written and analytical communication skills.
• Deep curiosity about AI business models and economics.
• Ability to connect technical change with macro-level outcomes.
• Full-time role based in the United States.
