Job Description
As part of the global risk, credit & compliance team, s/he will be accountable for proactive identification, management and escalation of compliance and operational risks through the execution of some or all of the below identified activities. This role exercises judgment and influence to enable business strategy with appropriate controls.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
5-10+ years experiences in compliance domain in cross-border financing, payment, digital assets with a bank or fintech.
Experience dealing with regulator inquiries and exams for obtaining and maintaining licenses.
Sound knowledge with relevant laws and requirements from regulators in China mainland.
Develops, implements and maintains compliance/AML CTF/operational risk policies and standards and procedures to ensure regulatory and operational risk requirements are appropriately addressed, inclusive of conduct risk as applicable in China mainland and Hong Kong where the company operates.
Monitors the regulatory environment to identify regulatory changes applicable to area(s) of coverage, advises business leaders on those changes, directs the appropriate areas to implement or amend policies, standards, procedures and/or processes to address regulatory requirements.
Serves as the designated AML Officer, conducts AML/CTF system screening, provides guidance to business & operation team and perform contract, agreement and KYC/CDD reviews.
Identifies, aggregates, reports, escalates, inspects and challenges remediation plans, and performs thematic analysis on compliance/operational risk related issues and control enhancements.
Produces and/or oversees the development of independent compliance & operational risk management reporting for respective area of coverage.
Provides subject matter expertise to assist the business in establishing an annual learning plan, accountable for developing and delivering training content.
Manages and/or assists with addressing inquiries, exams and audits (by regulators, exchanges and internal groups).
Renews our license with regulators and works with front line units to ensure day to day activities operate in compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
Provides advice and guidance to business on applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Performs ad-hoc tasks as requested by senior management.
Ability to think critically and proactively on the application of controls to evolving markets, systems, and risks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to draft senior management and regulatory responses, monitoring/testing dispositions, policies, procedures, and training agendas).
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Ability to focus attention on detail as well as multi-task.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
