Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer
Reports to: VP R&D | Location: Holon, Israel | Department: R&D
About FireDome
FireDome is redefining how the world protects itself from wildfires. We are pioneering autonomous wildfire defense systems that detect and suppress fires in real time, shielding properties and communities before disaster strikes. Combining AI, robotics, and advanced automation, FireDome delivers Resilience-as-a-Service (RaaS) - a first-of-its-kind platform that makes wildfire protection intelligent, proactive, and always on. Our autonomous systems create real-time firebreaks, extinguish spot fires, and safeguard high-value sites across wildfire-prone regions.
Join a purpose-driven, fast-moving startup that’s turning breakthrough technology into lasting climate resilience — and help shape the future of wildfire protection, one system at a time.
About the Role
We are seeking a Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in embedded systems, communication protocols, STM32 platforms, RTOS, and Linux-based development.
This role spans low-level firmware through system-level software, with a focus on performance, reliability, and connectivity.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with STM32 microcontrollers, real-time operating systems, embedded Linux, and various communication protocols to design and develop robust embedded solutions.
This role will require some travel to the US, for support in installations and testing. During the initial U.S. launch (July-December 2026), the candidate is expected to travel back and forth from Israel to FireDome's US test site in California as needed.
