• Strong programming skills in React and TypeScript, with a focus on building clean, maintainable, and scalable applications
• Confidence working with state management solutions like Redux, Zustand, or Context API
• The ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests to keep components reliable
• A deep understanding of front-end performance optimisation techniques and when to apply them
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines to support smooth and reliable deployments
• A habit of promoting React-specific best practices and improving front-end workflows
• Clear, collaborative communication — able to partner effectively with designers, product owners, and backend engineers

What the job involves

• The CTO division is where Open Cosmos technology comes to life. Covering engineering, product development, and technical innovation, the team designs, builds, and operates the satellites, systems, and platforms that make our missions possible. It’s a highly collaborative environment where ideas become real hardware, software, and data solutions that deliver impact from space
• Our Ground Segment team builds and runs the software that powers Open Cosmos missions. From our cloud-native Mission Operations Centre (MOC) to customer-facing tools, they design, deploy, and operate the systems that keep multi-satellite constellations flying
