Your Contributions

• • Lead cost planning, tracking, and optimization for R&D projects and product development pipelines
  • Develop cost models for prototypes, pilot programs, and scale-up scenarios
  • Partner with engineering, procurement, and production teams to manage BOM costs and drive design-to-cost initiatives
  • Evaluate ROI for R&D activities and technology choices
  • Support make-or-buy analyses and strategic sourcing decisions
  • Be an example to the company for the feasibility of well-executed remote work
  • Establish and enforce R&D-specific quality protocols, including lab operations, testing, validation, and pilot production
  • Ensure alignment of R&D quality standards with industry regulations
  • Implement robust documentation, traceability, and audit-readiness practices throughout the R&D process
  • Facilitate root cause analyses for experimental or prototype failures and implement preventive measures
  • Guide teams in risk-based thinking and design for quality (DFQ)
  • Collaborate with product development, innovation, and engineering teams to integrate cost and quality into early-stage design
  • Champion a culture of innovation that balances technical ambition with financial and quality discipline
  • Lead cross-functional cost-quality reviews and stage-gate checkpoints
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team in R&D costing, quality systems, and compliance

Your Profile

• • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, R&D Management, or related field
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), ISO Lead Auditor, or PMP are advantageous
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience evaluating R&D investments and cost structures
  • Expertise in quality frameworks relevant to research and innovation
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with PLM systems, ERP software, and R&D-specific platforms
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001
  • Proven ability to foster a quality-driven innovation culture across R&D and the wider organization
  • Demonstrated success in building a team, product, process, or system that achieved measurable targets
  • Strong in self-coordination, able to structure work independently and deliver results
  • Interested in working with external partners and learning directly from users in the field
  • Willing to travel approximately 2–3 weeks per year to co-locate with ANYbotics team members and customers
