Job Description

- Very familiar with understanding which inspection tool can be used and if inspection tool not available what other tools can be used
- Pluses:
- The contactor will go through an accelerated onboarding process over a 3-day period to get familiar with the local processes, tools, software, relationships, and expectations for their key tasks and how deliverables are measured.
- Daily MRBs with 7-8 team members
- Won’t be engaging with suppliers directly, but will engage directly with purchasing team
- Manages the site Materials Review Board (MRB) process MGT-P05 Management of Nonconforming Product and Corrective Actions & MFG-W01 Managing Nonconforming Product and Material Review Board)
- Inspect to verify non-conforming parts
- Assist in the root cause analysis
- Assist in the dispositioning of non-conforming material and ensure the tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Manage & discover inventory locations for helping track material for the MRB process
- Manage internal re-work to support dispositions.
- Ensure data collection and entry is accurate and complete for the MRB process
- Communicate the process performance and quality issues to key stakeholders to drive improvements
- Understand the overall performance for MRB (turn around time, dollar volume, organization/clarity, etc)
- Execute vendor return material authorization (VRMA) process with partnership/notification between Warehouse and Buyers to ensure material leaves the MRB area for suppliers. Ensure SQEs are copied on emails/communications with supplier. There may be site nuances for tactical execution (MGT-P05 Management of Nonconforming Product and Corrective Actions & MFG-W01 Managing Nonconforming Product and Material Review Board).
- Manage quality containment process for material, tooling, and inspection equipment that are involved in non-conformances impacting production capacity and capability
- Support validation of inspection routing for incoming material, in-process inspection steps, and end of line inspection, asper direction from product quality engineers (PQE).
- Support the training of technicians and inspectors to execute inspection plans and data capture in the process
- Propose, develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures and review with the product quality engineers that impact production environments
- Perform internal audits on processes and procedures, as per direction from Quality Systems Engineer
- Support SQEs for ad hoc onsite inspection for supplier related tasks.

- Hold MRB daily meeting and review previous 24-hours of discrepancies
