Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance across our automotive electronics division. This role demands a strong grasp of ISO 9001 QMS, internal audits, hardware and software testing, and inward/outward quality control. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Systems & Compliance
- Implement and maintain ISO 9001:2015 QMS and support IATF 16949 standards.
- Conduct internal audits and facilitate Management Review Meetings (MRM).
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation including Control Plans, FMEA, and QAPs.
Product & Process Quality:
- Perform inward and outward quality inspections for automotive-grade electronic components.
- Validate hardware assemblies and embedded software functionality using automated and manual testing tools.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for field failures and customer complaints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Interface with design, production, and customer support teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support new product development with quality planning and risk assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Tools & Technologies:
- Use software tools for quality checks, data logging, and traceability
- Familiarity with hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes, mustimeters, and CAN analyzers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in automotive or embedded systems quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and internal audit protocols.
- Hands-on experience with hardware testing and embedded software validation.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Extras:
- Experience with automotive standards like APQP, PPAP, and VDA 6.3.
- Knowledge of statistical tools (Minitab, SPC) and digital quality dashboards.
