Job Overview:
As a Manual QA Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company's software products meet the highest quality standards. You will work alongside our experienced QA team to conduct manual testing of web, mobile, and/or desktop applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Quality Assurance, where you will gain hands-on experience in software testing, problem-solving, and team collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
Test Case Creation & Execution:
Write, execute, and maintain detailed test cases based on functional requirements, user stories, or product specifications.
Manually execute test cases for different scenarios (e.g., functional, regression, usability) to ensure the product works as expected.
Bug Identification & Reporting:
Identify, report, and document bugs or defects found during testing using the company’s bug-tracking tool (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Provide clear and reproducible steps for reported issues to assist developers in resolving them.
Collaboration with Development Teams:
Work closely with developers and product managers to understand product requirements and features.
Participate in sprint meetings (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning) to discuss progress and issues.
Test Documentation & Reporting:
Keep track of test progress and ensure that all tests are completed in a timely manner.
Assist in preparing test reports that summarize test results and defect status.
Participate in test cycle reviews to discuss the overall quality of the product.
Verification of Bug Fixes:
Retest bug fixes to confirm that issues have been resolved and that no new issues have been introduced.
Perform regression testing on the application after updates to ensure that existing functionality has not been affected.
Learning and Development:
Continuously learn about new testing techniques, methodologies, and tools.
Receive mentorship and guidance from senior QA professionals to enhance your testing skills.
Requirements:
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Knowledge of SQL for basic database testing is a plus.
Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Manual QA Testing or similar role in software testing.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
Experience writing test cases and executing manual test plans.
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla).
