RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for complex analytic and imaging software pipelines
• Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and unit testing across cloud-based software platforms
• Define, implement, and continuously improve QA test frameworks for analytic pipelines, including medical imaging and neuroscience workflows
• Validate medical imaging pipelines using formats such as DICOM and NIfTI, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and performance
• Monitor CI/CD pipelines, analyse test results, triage failures, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently
• Identify gaps in test coverage and implement scalable, maintainable testing strategies aligned with agile development practices
• Track, document, and manage defects using bug-tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution and root-cause analysis
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies, providing proactive feedback on quality, usability, and performance
• Advocate for best practices in software quality engineering, automation, and continuous improvement

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Physics, or a related field
• 3+ years’ experience in a Software QA Engineer / Quality Engineering role
• Experience testing medical imaging software, analytic pipelines, or data-intensive platforms
• Strong automation and scripting skills in Python (preferred) and/or TypeScript
• Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and unit testing
• Hands-on experience with medical imaging data formats such as DICOM and NIfTI
• Experience with MRI imaging techniques, including fMRI (BOLD), DTI, and DWI
• Strong understanding of image processing and validation for 2D/3D interactive visualization software
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automated test frameworks, and test infrastructure
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to machine learning or AI-assisted testing is highly desirable
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in medical or healthcare software (e.g. ISO 13485, ISO 14971, HIPAA)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
