Job Description: Buyer – Direct Procurement (Mechanical, Electronics & Electro-Mechanical)

Position Summary

The Buyer will be responsible for handling direct procurement of Mechanical, Electronics, and Electro-Mechanical components. This role involves supplier sourcing, RFQ management, negotiations, PO creation, cost optimization, and ensuring timely material availability. The Buyer will be Responsible for all sourcing and procurement activities related to direct materials and for maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of Mechanical, Electronics, and Electro-Mechanical components.
• Identify, develop, and evaluate suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in direct procurement of Mechanical, Electronics, or Electro-Mechanical parts.
• Good knowledge of ERP/SAP procurement modules.
• Strong vendor management and supplier relationship-building skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing components, drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities simultaneously.
• Strong documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Process-oriented, disciplined, and proactive in follow-up and escalation.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• 6-8 years of experience in direct material procurement.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing/electronic assemblies preferred.
