Opportunity Research and Competitive Landscape Understating: Conduct research on opportunity landscape, recognize DOD priorities and capability gaps, identify requirements relevant to company’s core competencies, and help guide company priorities and efforts to align with market needs and spending priorities.
Research and Monitor Proposal Opportunities: Closely monitor solicitation platforms and industry channels for open RFI/RFP and exercise/demonstrations, identify new or relevant business opportunities and flag them for internal review.
Proposal Development & Coordination – Lead the creation, editing, red teaming, and submission of proposals, white papers, quotes, and capability statements that meet compliance requirements and align with OKSI’s growth objectives.
Technical Content Integration – Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to accurately describe OKSI’s technologies—including EO/IR sensors, Autonomy, and other AI/ML solutions—in clear, compelling language.
Capture Strategy Support – Work with business development to incorporate win themes, pricing inputs, and competitive positioning into proposal content.
Proposal Project Management – Plan and manage proposal schedules, assign tasks, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met; facilitate meetings and reviews to maintain alignment across contributors.
Process Management – Establish, maintain, and continuously improve proposal workflows, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency and efficiency across submissions.
Content Library Oversight – Build and manage a repository of reusable text, graphics, and templates to streamline future proposal efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Coordinate with program management, supply chain, and finance to integrate accurate technical, cost, and schedule data into proposals.
Customer Engagement Support – Assist in the preparation of presentations, briefings, and outreach materials for customer and partner meetings.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
Proven ability to write, edit, and manage high-quality technical and business proposals for Government and commercial customers.
Strong understanding of the U.S. Government solicitation process (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and proposal compliance requirements.
Skilled in translating complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for varied audiences.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines and contributors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with collaboration and document management tools experience with basic graphics/layout tools preferred.
Ability to develop compliance matrices, maintain content libraries, and manage version control for proposal documents.
Strong editing and proofreading skills, with familiarity in applying style guides.
Effective collaboration skills across engineering, program management, supply chain, finance, and business development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding and experience using and managing the Shipley Business Development Lifecycle.
Experience developing proposals in aerospace, defense, or advanced technology industries.
Knowledge of EO/IR sensors, UAS platforms, AI/ML systems, or related technologies.
Understanding of DoD acquisition processes, contract types, and cost volume integration.
APMP Foundation Certification or higher.
Ability to create visual aids, graphics, and infographics to complement written content.
Education
: Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in a technical field (engineering, computer science, physics, or related) to ensure the ability to understand advanced technologies and develop accurate proposals.
