Lead and manage
medical device product sunset and end-of-life projects
, including product discontinuation, market withdrawal, and portfolio rationalization initiatives
Develop and maintain detailed
EOL project plans
, including timelines, resource plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
Coordinate cross-functional teams across
R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, and Commercial
to ensure compliant and timely execution of product sunsets
Partner with Regulatory and Quality teams to ensure all
regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements
are addressed (e.g., FDA notifications, EU MDR considerations, ISO 13485 impacts)
Manage activities related to
inventory run-out, last-time buys, supplier disengagement, tooling disposition, and documentation archiving
Define project objectives, milestones, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders
Track and report project status, risks, and dependencies, providing clear communication to stakeholders
Support more complex lifecycle or portfolio projects by contributing research, analysis, and documentation
Lead small project teams and coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, or consultants as needed
Travel up to
20%
, as required, to support project execution
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience;
PMP certification preferred
3+ years of Project Management experience
within the
medical device industry
, with demonstrated experience managing
product sunset, end-of-life, or obsolescence initiatives
Strong understanding of
medical device lifecycle management
and cross-functional dependencies
Proven ability to manage projects in
regulated environments
with attention to compliance and risk
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in complex or ambiguous situations
Ability to make timely decisions with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills, with adaptability in fast-changing environments
Strong influencing skills without direct authority
Experience identifying project risks and implementing proactive mitigation plans
