We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Project Manager I / Restricted Substances Specialist
to support global regulatory compliance initiatives within a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong project coordination skills, cross-functional collaboration experience, and interest in chemical regulations, manufacturing, supply chain, or quality operations.

North Chicago, IL (Lake County)
Schedule:
Hybrid (Monday–Friday)
Contract Duration:
6 Months (possible extension based on budget approval)
Position Overview
The Restricted Substances Management (RSM) team is responsible for ensuring compliance with global chemical and environmental regulations impacting pharmaceutical products and manufacturing processes.
This position will support data management activities and implementation efforts related to restricted substances regulations including:
- EU REACH
- EU RoHS
- US Conflict Minerals
- US Proposition 65
- China MEE No. 12
- Additional global regulatory requirements
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently within a collaborative global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze component and sub-assembly information to assess restricted substances impact
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or technical-related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with:
- EU REACH
- EU RoHS
- Conflict Minerals regulations
- Proposition 65
- Experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing, R&D, TPM, or supply chain operations
- Familiarity with ARENA systems
