Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Houston, TX, USA

About The Role Abyss is looking for a Project Engineer to support our Oil & Gas projects. As a Project Engineer, your focus is on supporting Application Engineers with their customer initiatives and projects. These projects are focused on using our integrity analytics product to enhance traditional inspection and maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for technology. As a Project Engineer, you will act as a technical, individual contributor delivering projects; this includes, but is not limited to, technical engineering review of results generated by automated systems, generating reports, supporting projects, and doing production work to generate deliverables.

Responsibilities

Engineering Evaluation: Review visual data against engineering standards to generate condition assessment insights. This includes technical writing required to detail all results and associated engineering reasoning.
Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive data analysis, interpret deliverables, and provide meaningful insights to help clients understand the implications of the data for their operations and strategic goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
1 to 5 years of engineering experience in structural engineering, infrastructure design, or oil & gas. Experience in a sales support or client-facing role is highly desirable.
Experience with CMMS, IDMS, ERP, and anomaly tracking software is a plus.
Excellent understanding of project management principles and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
