We are partnering with AbbVie to hire a Project Engineer for a 12+ month contract (possible extension) supporting capital projects in a manufacturing environment.

Location: Hybrid – North Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support capital equipment & facility projects
• Develop and execute FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification documentation
• Oversee equipment lifecycle documentation (URS, specs, SOPs)
• Manage project scope, cost, schedule, and quality
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, Vendors)
• Participate in startup & validation activities

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Experience in pharmaceutical / GMP-regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment design
• Hands-on experience with commissioning & qualification
