Alva Manufacturing is a fast-growing Aerospace Machine Shop located in city of Placentia currently supplying parts to Boeing Defense, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon. We utilize the most latest CNC technologies including 5-axis Milling, Multi-Axis Turning, and Automated-Pallet Changing systems. Description:
The Production Manager shall have strong knowledge in CNC machining process including Milling & Turning process, as well as planning/scheduling process. The Production Manager shall have strong people and communication skills to communicate with the internal departments to assure the products are delivered on time.
Responsibilities :
Review of drawings, job planning data to understand the manufacturing processes
Review internal production capacity to plan schedule for CNC machining stations
Assign jobs to the right machines and the right personnel
Communicate with internal department head including tool crib, purchasing, and quality in order to obtain project schedule and help solve any technical problems, and assure the manufacturing process will meet customer's required delivery date
Be a focal point of contact for any project schedule and technical issues on Machine Shop floor.

5 years of minimum experience or more in related position
Education: high school minimum, NO Bachelor degree in engineering is required as long as the candidate is able to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge required
Complete understanding of machining operations as well as secondary manufacturing processes.
Strong communication skills
Familiar with Aerospace industry and AS9100 requirements.
Strong understanding of ANSY Y14.5 and GD&T engineering drawings.
Must be able to work independently, but also demonstrate an ability to work productively within the department team.
Strong trouble-shooting skills and the ability to think critically.
