Job description
About Nearfield Instruments
Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enables our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to increase the production yields, and thus, functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.
Founded in 2016, we bring together the most creative minds (approx. 320 employees) in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.

Integrate and validate software components within high-tech metrology systems during production.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs, embedded control systems, and automation interfaces.
Collaborate with R&D, software, and production teams to ensure smooth deployment of software updates and system configurations.
Support the ramp-up of new modules and machines by ensuring software and control systems are production-ready.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing system behavior and implementing software or control optimizations.
Why is the position interesting for you?
You’ll work at the interface of software and hardware in a high-tech production environment, where your contributions directly impact machine performance.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with PLC systems and automation software in a fast-paced, innovative company.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, solving complex technical challenges and continuously improving production processes.
