About The Role

As a Product Engineer at RavenPack, you'll own features end-to-end—from understanding user problems to shipping production code. You won't just build what's specified; you'll figure out what to build. You'll work directly with customers, move fast, and iterate based on real feedback and data.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering and product. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data teams, but you'll also talk directly to users, question assumptions, and champion solutions that solve real problems. You're equally comfortable diving deep into technical implementation and zooming out to consider the user experience and business impact.

This role offers a hybrid work environment in our Marbella or Madrid offices.

YOUR RAMP-UP JOURNEY

In your first month, you can expect to ship your first feature to production. You'll familiarize yourself with our tech stack, product architecture, and user personas. You'll shadow customer calls to understand how financial professionals use our platform and where the pain points are.

After six months, you'll own a significant area of the product. You'll have shipped multiple features that directly impact user metrics. You'll be a go-to person for understanding how your area works—both technically and from a user perspective. You'll actively contribute to product roadmap discussions and mentor other engineers on product thinking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own features end-to-end: from problem discovery through design, implementation, deployment, and iteration
• Ship high-quality, production-ready code across the full stack (frontend, backend, APIs, data)
• Talk directly to users and customers to deeply understand their workflows and pain points
• Define and track success metrics; iterate rapidly based on usage data and feedback
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to define the right solutions
• Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, quality, and technical debt
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction of the platform

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping features that users love
• Full-stack proficiency: comfortable working across frontend (React/TypeScript), backend (Python, Node.js), APIs (REST/GraphQL), and databases
• Strong product intuition—you question "why" before "how" and care deeply about solving real user problems
• Comfortable with ambiguity: you thrive in fast-paced environments where requirements evolve
• Customer obsession: you genuinely enjoy talking to users and translating their needs into solutions
• Excellent communication skills: you can articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in fintech, financial data, or B2B SaaS products
• Experience building AI/ML-powered products or agentic interfaces
• Familiarity with API-first product development and developer-facing tools
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar AI integration frameworks
• Prior startup experience or experience working in high-autonomy environments
