Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Design, optimize and manage the flow of materials from supplier, through the manufacturing processes, until the finished product to the customer.
• Manage project to ensure timely supply of quality material and components to support and fulfil customer demands.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers, covering existing, new and potential future suppliers.
• Sourcing, negotiating, and procuring parts and materials.
• Grow suppliers, with close monitoring of supplier performance (delivery, quality, service) and drive improvement initiative with suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain.
• Drive and execute supplier improvement and development program.
• Conduct supplier follow-ups, expediting, and negotiation of pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with QA and Engineering to resolve non-conforming materials or supplier-related issues.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with technical requirements.
• Source and procure parts, components, and materials in accordance with engineering specifications and project
requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Production, Planning and Project teams to understand material requirements based on customer requirements, project plans and schedules.
• Verify customer requirements, machine design specifications and supplier product specifications, to ensure alignment.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Track material readiness and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent shortages or delays.
• Achieve cost savings through negotiation, alternative sourcing, and supplier development.
• Analyze purchasing data to improve procurement efficiency, reduce lead times, reduce PR to PO cycle time, on-time delivery, and supplier quality.
• Perform data collection, data analysis and prepare report for management review.
• Develop and maintain supply chain dashboards, to ensure consistent data update to stakeholders.
Academic and Trades Qualification:
➢ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field
Work Experience and Skills:
• Fresh graduates with engineering background are welcome to apply.
• Prefer experience in automation/machine/equipment supply industries.
• Prefer experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
• Require engineering and technical knowledge to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and product technical specification.
• Ability to use computer/IT applications, MS Office and SAP etc.
• Require data analysis and presentation skills.
• Candidates proficient in Chinese are required to effectively communicate and coordinate with suppliers in China.
