Familiarity with GaN-specific fabrication processes.
Experience with photonic design and simulation tools such as:
KLayout, Cadence, or IPKISS
Lumerical (FDTD, MODE)
COMSOL Multiphysics
Knowledge of PDKs (Process Design Kits) and DRC (Design Rule Checking).
Hands-on experience with optical/electrical test setups and equipment (e.g., optical spectrum analyzers, probe stations, power meters).
Experience with device simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, Silvaco, COMSOL) for optical, electrical, and thermal modeling.
Programming/scripting skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar for data analysis and automation.
Familiarity with cleanroom fabrication processes: photolithography, etching, deposition, metallization, wafer bonding, etc.
Proficiency in technical English, both written and spoken.
