Job Title: PCB Design Engineer

Contract: Inside IR35

Duration: 12-month contract

Location: Bristol (On-Site)

Responsibilities

Creation and management of schematic and footprint libraries
Generation and version control of Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Liaison with procurement and manufacturing operations teams regarding new, end-of-life, and obsolete components
Creation of PCB manufacturing and assembly data packs
PCB supplier liaison and management
PCB layout for development and production designs

Experience & Requirements

Schematic and layout component part library creation and management
Creation of footprints suitable for multi-sourced components
Development of in-house design constraints compatible with multiple assembly house rules
Proficiency with Mentor or Xpedition design flows (schematic capture, design constraints, PCB layout)
Knowledge of HDI stack-ups , via structures, and controlled-impedance routing
Strong understanding of EMC-aware layout and mitigation of crosstalk and interference
