As a Principal Solution Architect at Cognite, you will be a key player in the Technology department within our Global Delivery organization, which includes offices in Austin, Houston, Oslo, Stavanger, and Tokyo. This role is part of the EMEA Delivery organization.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with key customers, field sales, delivery teams, and product development.
• Lead industrial customers to enhance productivity, profitability, reduce environmental impact, and lower costs.
• Define solutions and support integrations to successful completion.
• Implement Cognite SaaS offerings and applications.
• Map requirements for quality implementations, ensuring:
  • Appropriate data visualization technology (e.g., Power BI, Grafana).
  • Effective data transformation technology (e.g., Databricks, Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Efficient data modeling and contextualization in Cognite Data Fusion.
  • Robust integrations and operational responsibilities.
  • Overall technical solution design fitting within customer ecosystems.
  • Design of integration and data models using Cognite data connectors, SQL, Python/Java, and REST APIs.
• Act as a credible advisor on Cognite Data Fusion.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management to translate customer needs.
• Mentor and coach Solution Architects in the department.
• Stay informed on relevant laws and regulations affecting our products and solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an application/data/solution/enterprise architect.
• 3+ years of experience in the heavy asset industry (downstream, petrochemicals, or energy).
• Experience with operational data and customer business drivers in the heavy asset industry.
• Consulting experience for negotiating requirements with customers and colleagues.
• Experience with enterprise integration and IT integration design.
• Data and analytics project experience with leadership in implementation.
• Broad technical experience with data and analytics stacks.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Experience in operations, support, change control, and architecting.
• Technical background with the ability to contribute code for advanced topics.
• Architectural skills in data modeling and infrastructure solutions.
