About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess over 20 years of extensive low-level Linux systems expertise and at least 10 years of robust Python programming experience. The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated workflow systems, managing execution isolation through containerization, creating and optimizing runtime environments, and developing and integrating APIs. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate exceptional skills in memory management, complex debugging, modular system architecture, and event-driven architectures.

What We Need
At least 10 years of professional experience with Python programming
Deep expertise in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Demonstrated mastery of workflow systems, event-driven architectures, and API development (e.g., GraphQL subscriptions)
Extensive experience in memory management, debugging complex systems, and creating runtime environments
Nice to have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience leading engineering teams or projects
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Certifications relevant to Linux, containerization, and cloud technologies

For this position, the annual salary ranges by location are:

$88,000 - $104,000 USD

Bonuses and equity are included in offers above entry level. Final compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including location, job-related experience, skills, knowledge, internal pay equity, and overall market conditions.
