The Advanced Technology Group is looking for a highly motivated Principal Physical Design Engineer to join our group. Do you have a proven EE background with an in-depth understanding of physical design, place and route, timing analysis, power analysis, IR drop analysis, process nodes and experience of flow development and chip implementation all the way to GDS tapeout? Have you been an architect/team lead and subject matter expert? If yes, then we’d love to hear from you! The job also requires innovative idea, strong programming skills and hands-on work to make advanced process node work for NVIDIA’s need. This role will be located at our company headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. What You'll Be Doing - Lead the Advanced technology node P&R methodology architecture and development - Advanced technology node test vehicle chips implementation - Advanced technology node block PPA analysis - Provide IP (std/ram/analog) interface guidelines - Provide methodology support and guidance to production methodology team What We Need To See - BSEE (MSEE preferred) or equivalent experience with 15+ years of relevant industry experience - Experience in large VLSI physical design chip implementation on advanced silicon node technologies - Track record of production chip work - P&R CAD tools experience: ICC2/Innovus/Voltus/Redhawk/StarRC/ICV - Scripting skill: Perl and TCL - PPA (performance/power/area) analysis, timing analysis, IR drop, physical verification experience must - Strong debugging and analysis skill Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd - Deep understanding of technology and passionate about what you do - Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, specifically a proven ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic matrix environment NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
