Job Summary:
Responsible for PLC and control system design for automation machinery, ensuring optimal system performance that aligned with specified requirements and complies with required standards. This includes a dedicated focus on upholding the NSW Vision, Mission, and Values throughout the development process.
Responsibilities:
PLC Programming and Development - Design, modify, and maintain PLC programs (using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram) for semiconductor manufacturing automation, integrating with HMI, SCADA, and robotics while following best practices to ensure system performance and reliability.
Prototyping, Testing and Validation - Perform system testing and validation of PLC programs and upgrades using simulation tools, and support integration with SCADA, HMI, and MES to ensure reliable control, monitoring, and data transfer.
Team Collaboration - Participate in regular technical discussions and design reviews with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure project objectives and schedules are met.
Technical Support and Training - Support senior engineers in troubleshooting PLC-controlled automation systems, assist with training and technical support for stakeholders and customers, and maintain system logs to support continuous improvement and future troubleshooting.
Regulatory Compliance - Follow internal engineering guidelines and software development best practices.
Review, Maintenance and Documentation - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, SOPs, and records for PLC programs and control systems to ensure compliance, traceability, and effective troubleshooting.
Continuous Learning and Personal Development - Stay up-to-date with automation trends and technologies, support installation, commissioning, and site activities, and learn advanced PLC programming, system integration, and troubleshooting under senior engineer guidance while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as SEMI, IEC 61508, ISO 13849, and NFPA.
