Our client is hiring a Plant Manager to lead operations at a chemical manufacturing facility. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the plant while building a high-performing leadership team.
What You’ll Do
• Lead all plant operations, including safety, quality, production, planning, procurement, shipping/receiving, and engineering/maintenance
• Drive continuous improvement through KPIs, manufacturing dashboards, and data-driven decision making
• Lead cost reduction initiatives using lean methodologies, strategy deployment, and engineering improvements
• Build, develop, and mentor a strong leadership team with a culture of accountability and performance
• Own the Annual Operating Plan, including budget development and CAPEX execution
• Implement and manage an effective S&OE/S&OP process to align operations with sales and customer demand
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve production processes and operational efficiency
• Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, with a strong emphasis on chemical manufacturing standards
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree required (technical or engineering background preferred); MBA a plus
• Experience leading a manufacturing facility, ideally within chemical or process manufacturing
• Proven ability to improve operational performance, productivity, and P&L results
• Track record of developing leaders and building strong teams
• Working knowledge of maintenance and production equipment in a process environment
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing
Key Skills
• Lean manufacturing experience (strategy deployment, SMED, 5S, 5-Why)
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
