At Intelic, we build advanced software for unmanned systems in the defense sector. Based in Amsterdam — with a second office in Kyiv — we are a fast-growing team of engineers and domain experts developing Nexus — an intelligence platform that gives unmanned systems the speed, coordination, and reliability that critical missions demand.
Why this role exists
The People foundation at Intelic is in place — now we're ready for the next step. You'll be joining a small but driven People team and taking the lead on what comes next: building on what's there, professionalising it, and making sure both our Amsterdam and Kyiv teams feel like one company. This isn't a role where you start from zero, but you will leave your mark on everything.
What you will own
• Lead a small but growing People team — setting the direction and making sure everyone knows what great looks like
• Act as a sparring partner for leadership and management on everything people-related, from org design and team dynamics to growth decisions and difficult conversations
• Further design and roll out an onboarding programme that gets people to impact quickly; ensure offboarding is handled with care and consistency
• Oversee people operations end-to-end, with a People Ops Specialist handling the day-to-day
• Build the performance, benefits, and L&D frameworks that help people grow and stay
• Be the guardian of Intelic's culture — and keep leadership accountable to it
What success looks like in your first year
• Redesigned our performance cycle into a continuous, meaningful process
• Built a management development approach that gives our team leads the tools and confidence to grow as people managers
• Made real progress on bringing Amsterdam and Kyiv closer together — with aligned processes and a shared sense of what it means to work at Intelic
You will thrive here if
• You have 5+ years in a broad HR or People role, with some experience leading or coordinating a small team — formally or informally
• You've built or improved people processes in a growing organisation before
• You know Dutch employment law well; international hiring experience is a plus
• You're strategic enough to see the bigger picture and hands-on enough to get things done
• You're comfortable in an environment where not everything is defined yet — and you see that as an opportunity
• Nice to have: background in tech, defence, or other mission-critical industries
